Havana Blue Jay

This Blue Jay has landed on my interpretation of Havana doors that I just had to recreate in a sumptuous blue with gold accents. You can see the brilliant pink and orange Havana sunset reflected in the windows. I chose to surround these doors with hand painted granite rock with occasional gold veins and quartz – sturdiness, a bit of earth and a faithful friend. These doors do not open. 

Blue Jays are known for their beautiful blue plumage and noisy calls. But these blue birds are extremely intelligent, participate in a complex social system, and form tight family bonds. Blue jays are spiritual animals -- they represent faithfulness, curiosity, and courage.  Blue Jays are not typically found in Havana, but this one was!
